In “La Ballata del Re Cervo e il Cacciatore” Estrema Fortezza tells of the eternal and cyclical battle between the seasons of the Earth, embodied in the forces of Light and Winter Darkness, in the Deer King and the sinister monarch of the Wild Hunt. The Autumn Throne, among the falling leaves, bears a funeral lament for a white ruler, wrapped in a frozen shroud.
