Poet of the underworld, spirit of the woods… Azaghast brings solemn black metal soundscapes and wistful verses of dark romantic poetry to the forefront on their debut album. “Ghost Touch” sways through melancholic remembrance, and the worship of innermost desires, as an ode to nature’s sovereignty.
The sound on “Ghost Touch” is more about building a somber ambience than displaying rawness or power. The album manifests as the artist’s self-reflection on their place in the natural world. Instead of striving for grandeur, Azaghast attempts to create a haunting, intimate experience, a journey to find fulfillment in reminiscing on times bygone.
