„I: Herbst“ by Wehmut was the first part of our quadrilogy of the seasons, first released in 2023.
“It can’t be denied that this album, at least musically, was heavily inspired by bands like Olhava. It’s about trying to deal with being forced to live in a hostile home. Like trying to like the pouring rain that nails one to the ground, but only out of desperation and a lack of protection. You can hear the rain through the entire album, at first it’s disguised as a pad synth (done with an EQ), but as the final song comes along, the „synth“ reveals itself as the rain, just like my former home revealed itself as a horrible, haunting place as soon as I became aware.”
